    Luxury Hotel Review

My Fave 5 at the Lanesborough

    June 23, 2017

I was so lucky to experience a royal welcome to London by the Lanesborough Hotel and quickly fell in love with every luxurious detail the property has to offer.  With much difficulty, I narrowed down my 5 favorite experiences during my stay!

    The Spa

    • The Lanesborough Club & Spa was phenomenal!  After a long flight and a very early arrival to London, the opportunity to freshen up in the spa can help instantly re-energize you on your first day.  The golden décor throughout the spa was rich while still maintaining a light and airy atmosphere.  I was instantly relaxed while exploring the spacious facilities – my favorite of course being the stunning hydro-pool!

    Accommodations

    • I was ecstatic to find out that my suite had formerly been a Chapel in a private residence before the property was converted to a hotel.  All rooms and suites pay tribute to the authentic history of the city with modern technology delicately hidden within the décor.  One click of the tv remote and the beautiful art hanging in the bedroom raises to reveal a flat screen beneath.  It’s a perfect blend that guests of any age will appreciate.

    Butler Service

    • At the Lanesborough, all floors receive a dedicated butler to assist guests 24 hours with any and all needs.  As my first experience with a butler, I was surprised at how attentive and intuitive he was.  He quickly caught on to my early morning routine and daily requirement of caffeine.  Every morning just after my wake-up call, he arrived promptly with a beautiful presentation of coffee and tea.  Still in my slippers, he poured me a fresh cup and it made for a perfect start to my day!

    Afternoon Tea

    • It would not have been a true London experience without afternoon tea in the Withdrawing Room.  The light and elegant décor set the informal atmosphere for catching up with old friends or making new ones.  The 3 tiered platters full of beautifully prepared sandwiches, scones, and pastries were almost too perfect to eat.  However, I managed to sneak a bite of every delicious treat!

    Celeste

    • The domed glass roof and chandeliers caught my attention immediately stepping into this beautiful Michelin-starred restaurant.  The soft blues are inviting and the décor is elegant and refined.  During breakfast the sunshine delicately lights the room.  As the sun goes down, the restaurant transforms under the softly lit chandeliers.  I will never forget my first breakfast in London, enjoying the most delicious eggs benedict I have ever tasted at Celeste.
