Medjet – Students Traveling Abroad

For parents of students traveling abroad, something we are always recommending is a Medjet policy. It offers 140 days of out of country coverage for about $295 per individual and it differs from travel insurance. As a Medjet Assist member, if you become hospitalized internationally or domestically — 150 miles or more from your residence address — Medjet will arrange medical transport to your home-country hospital of choice for inpatient care. All you pay is your membership fee. Medjet members don’t need to have a transfer deemed “medically necessary.” Security and crisis response services are not dependent on government issued “hard triggers.” Medjet memberships provide travelers with unrivaled control over their health and safety.

While the annual membership is always something we recommend to any client, when you have study abroad programs for your loved ones, we think this is a necessity.
