Heidi studied Food Science at Iowa State University and left a career in food safety. After a few years of working for an ingredient supplier, Heidi decided she wanted a change of pace to pursue her passion for travel. She believes that food is an essential part of culture and enjoys trying new dishes and flavors where she goes. Heidi’s trips always involve researching and discovering new food spots, from street food to Michelin-star restaurants. Heidi feels that she has learned as much about cultures and people through food as she has from visiting historical landmarks and museums. So far, her favorite foodie locations are Mexico and Italy.
