Expert Bio
Born and educated in London, England, I immigrated to America in 1992 and decided to call Fort Lauderdale - the cruise capital of the world - my home.  Being born to parents, who in the 60's, had a passion for luxury travel, I was lucky enough to have seen and experienced the majority of Europe before I was 10.  And have carried on visiting since.

After working for some of the most prestigious cruise lines in the world - I decided to expand my knowledge in all areas of luxury travel.  My main passion is the luxury cruise market, "I know what the luxury traveler wants and needs."

I excel at offering my guests the best service pre cruise and post cruise.  "I look after my guests the same way that I expect to be cared for, which in today's fast paced automated world, unfortunately is becoming a thing of the past.  I have made it my personal goal to exceed my guest's expectations when working together."

I have spent the past 3 years developing my relationships with companies that offer my clients every kind of assistance worldwide...whether selecting fine dining in St. Petersburg or shopping for emeralds in Rio, I'm comfortable in the fact that my clients are in the best possible hands whilst abroad.

I honestly believe that travel is one of the most important elements of an enlightened, enriched and balanced life.  I also believe that arranging and being a part of your travel plans is a worthy and meaningful profession.  It is deeply satisfying to me to bring to fruition the realization of someone's cherished dreams.  That is why I do what I do.

Even in tough economic times people will continue to travel, because we understand that life is to be lived and that each day is an opportunity that comes but once.

My job is to assist you to fulfill your wishes by advising you how best to make your dreams come true.

I was awarded 2007 Virtuoso top LBD producer in Las Vegas - August 2007 - and I now reside in Phoenix, Arizona.

Testimonial
I've spent darn near a lifetime making my own travel arrangements.  Don't need a travel agent; that's what computers are for, I said.  Then, through a weird chain of events over which I had no control, Jonathan Phillips was thrust upon me as my travel agent for a certain cruise, and friends, I never looked back.  "Just call Jonathan," I say to myself every time I'm feeling the least bit restless, and I'm always glad I did.  He is quick, knowledgeable and creative.  And charming.  Oh, is he ever charming, and believe me, when those nasty but inevitable bumps along the road pop up, it's nice to have an agent who accepts them as his own.  And if it can't be fixed, he's there to suffer with you.  He issues soothing British-isms, while I counter with tasteless Texas-isms, and I think, through speech, we've become a geography lesson for each other on the way to solving those problems.

But the nicest thing about Jonathan is that the travails of travel with him at the wheel are few and far between.  Almost non-existent, I'd say.  For instance, he's helped me deal with travel insurance claims more times than I like to admit, as my late husband and I now deal with the unpredictability of aging bodies.

At some point in these proceedings, after we had chatted on the for for 3749 times, say, we became friends without faces, and I really wanted to see him in person.

And that, dear reader, is when he moved just 30 miles down the road from me.  Now, we've been in each other's houses, and we've met for several meals.  We've traded e-mailed photos of our families (Me: That's your mum? She looks so young!) and we worry about each other's health (Him: Stay away from the weight room till after your cruise.  We don't want any more flare-ups before your trip!).

Oh, yeah, I'm fully committed to travel agents in general and to Jonathan, in particular.  Why, I can't imagine going through all those electronic gymnastics to plan a trip.  It is so much simpler just to call Jonathan, and nowadays, that's exactly why my daughter does, too.  And she has a family of five.  Moral: be nice to old ladies.  They may have revenue-producing families.
