What is your most memorable or most inspiring travel experience?

Being on a half day Sea Kayak trip through the Abel Tasman National Park (New Zealand) and paddling into a major storm. We were advised by our guide that we’d need to go ashore and find shelter for the night. Needless to say, we had no supplies. Fortunately, the one house on the beach was occupied and the owners invited us over, provided us with shelter for the night, food, and probably the most memorable COLD beer I’ve ever had.
What has been your best culinary experience/ memorable meal while traveling?
Pizza at Fire and Ice Pizza, Kathmanu Nepal after a 10 day trek in the Himilayas
What is the one destination/experience you still want to go/have?
Travel the full length of the Trans-Siberian Railway
